Big R Bridge recently designed and supplied our second Vehicular Truss Bridge for historic Hunterdon County, NJ. This one replaced a 100-year-old steel truss bridge in Kingwood Township that had been closed since 2014, when an overweight crane crossed it causing a collapse. Already on the list for replacement, the accident moved it up the list.
Profiles readers may recall that we were previously involved with a replacement for another 100-year-old steel truss bridge project in Franklin Township, on White Bridge Road.
Old-fashioned architecture meets demanding loads and spans
Our Vehicular Truss Bridges offer prefabricated solutions to meet spans up to 240' and are ideal for counties, cities and other government agencies seeking a highly-functional vehicular bridge with classic aesthetics and architecture.
Engineered for accelerated installation
Big R Vehicular Truss Bridges assemble faster than traditional site-built bridges because they are engineered and test-assembled in our factories. This bridge was from our Abingdon, VA location.
Add to this the flexibility of multiple decking options, sidewalks and finishes, and you have a highly tailored solution to meet the most unique bridging needs.
